Maryam Nawaz Shareef

Maryam Nawaz Sharif (Urduمریم نواز شریف‎; born 28 October 1973), also known by her married name as Maryam Safdar (Urduمریم صفدر‎), is a Pakistani politician who is the daughter of three-time Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and the three-time First Lady of Pakistan Kalsoom Nawaz Sharif. Born in 1973 in Lahore, Sharif was initially involved in the family's philanthropicorganisations. However, in 2012, she entered politics and was put in charge of Nawaz Sharif election campaign during the 2013 general election. In 2013, she was appointed as the Chairperson of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme. However she resigned in 2014 after her appointment was challenged in the Lahore High Court. She is seen as the political heir to her father.[3]
